Introduction of Naukuchiatal:

Naukuchiatal is a small town located at a distance of 25 kilometres from Nainital in the Lake District of Nainital, Uttarakhand, India. It is most famous for Naukuchiatal   or the lake with nine corners, a mesmerising water body and probably the most beautiful lake in the state. This beautiful place attracts admirers from everywhere.

Naukuchiatal is a fresh water lake that is fed by an underwater spring. Nestled inside the lofty mountains, Naukuchiatal is encircled by green oak forests, which hold some of the most beautiful species of butterflies of the region.
Locals believe that whoever is able to look at all the nine corners of the lake at the same time attains nirvana, vanishing then and there.
